Therapy involving animals and pets-
Many children who are introverted, anxious and have difficulties establishing relationships, experiencing challenges with making contact, have great success in connecting with animals.
Through the relationship and connection that they have with an animal, the child restores references and behaviors that they have experienced in their lives. The relationship created gives a diagnostic picture of the child’s emotional state, emotional impulses and characteristics of their behavior.
Referencing the child’s reactions and observing the child’s treatment toward the animal, the child encounters the opportunity to learn about themselves, their feeling and their desires.
They develop an awareness of their behavior as well as building a motivation for change, improvement and development.
