This week, our third newsletter for 2023 was scheduled to be sent out to all of you, providing you with news about the beginning of the new school year and the holiday season. However, the reality in Israel shakes us all. There is a lot of drama in the south, but we all know of friends and acquaintances who have been affected by the difficult events and battles. Even in the face of great shock and pain, Ahava’s team organizes itself to focus on our mission- to care for our children and their families. Furthermore, great attention is paid to the staff members and their families and social circles. In these times, we are all committed to the national effort and to our responsibility to care for and protect the children and staff. We’re sending our prayers to the wounded and missing, and sharing the grief of the families who lost their loved ones.
